Thank you for your interest in the Judith Rothschild Foundation.
As provided in Judith Rothschild’s will, eligibility for grant support required artists to have died after September 12th, 1976 and before March 7th, 2008; that is, 15 years before the date of her will and 15 years after her death. In view of these limitations, the Foundation no longer accepts grant proposals. The Foundation continues to seek museums and for gifts from its remaining works by Judith Rothschild from all periods. It expects to complete this distribution process by the end of 2019. Interested parties may contact the Foundation by mail or email.
The Foundation continues to carry out the mission of the Foundation in accordance with the terms of Judith Rothschild’s will. The Foundation continued to be involved in giving technical advice and tools to artists’ estates and living artists preparing their estates, supporting the research and updates associated with the online version of the A Visual Artist’s Guide to Estate Planning, co-sponsored with The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, and seeking out news ways to promote public awareness of recently deceased American artists’ achievements as well as the direct aesthetic experience of their work.
