Born in St. Arsenio, Italy, Ippolito immigrated to New York at a young age and later participated with the second generation of abstract expressionism. Ippolito’s paintings are comprised of sweeping brilliant colors, punctuated by smaller segments of concentrated shapes, which reference landscapes and still-lifes.
