Huebler was an important figure in post-war American art and was involved in a variety of movements, including abstract expressionism, minimalism, and most notably conceptually-inspired photography. Many of his photographs document people participating in various activities. One of his most ambitious projects was the attempt to photograph everyone alive on the planet.
